To determine if the motor is defective first determine if the motor is getting power. To figure out which pull the unit out from the wall and remove the lower panel in the back. If the water inlet valve is defective or if it has insufficient pressure it won t allow water to flow through. If the auger is not properly aligned the refrigerator will not dispense ice and or the door may not close properly.

When removing or replacing the ice bin avoid rotating the auger in the ice bin. The first thing to do is open the left french door of the refrigerator take out the ice cube box and look for a frosted and iced. Make sure that the water pressure to the valve is at least 20 psi. The dispenser door motor opens and closes the dispenser door to prevent cold air from escaping the freezer.

The valve requires at least 20 psi to function properly. It turns on the light in the freezer and turns off the ice maker and dispenser. As a result the di spenser will not dispense ice. The ice maker box has a small evaporator coil in series with the real evaporator coil and the ice maker.

If the refrigerator ice maker is not working the door switch might be defective. Water flows for dispen. If the door switch fails the dispenser will not turn on. Trace the line from the ice maker down the back side of the unit to the valve now pull the water line for the ice maker out of the valve and blow into the waterline.

When the freezer door is opened the freezer door switch does two things. Have a frigidaire gallery french door refrigerator with ice maker in top left of fridge. Up im evaporator fan. If the im fan isn t running it doesn t make ice period.

If the auger is accidentally rotated you must realign the auger by turning it in 45 degree turns until the ice bin fits into place.
